Abel & Cole remains cool thanks to Hubbard
Online organic vegetable retailer Abel & Cole has expanded its 108-vehicle delivery fleet with the addition of 20 Iveco Dailys with bespoke box bodies by Paneltex and featuring Hubbard refrigeration kit.All the new Dailys are 3.5-tonners and sport Hubbard 360 AM chiller units, specified to cope with around 140 door openings per delivery round. Suitable for temperatures down to 0°C, the 360 AMs use a compressor belt-driven from the crankshaft. Controlled digitally from the cab, for the Abel & Cole application they are required to hold the temperature at +8°C.
“Our entire fleet will now be equipped with Hubbard Product’s units and we are very satisfied with their performance under extremely demanding conditions,” said transport manager Nick Cannell. “The units have a proven track record for reliability and servicing has been faultless, with Hubbard’s engineers on-site within 24 hours of a call. With our experience of Hubbard’s approach to customer service and the support they have given us throughout the development period of this product we had no qualms about choosing the Hubbard 360 for our new vehicles.”
