CV Show 2012 dates announced by organisers
Following better than predicted attendance figures for this year’s event, the dates for the CV Show 2012 have been set. It will return to the NEC, Birmingham on 24 – 26 April. Organised by the Road Haulage Association (RHA), the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT) and IRTE Services Ltd, the CV Show 2011 saw in excess of 16,000 visitors pass through its doors, with over 700 of them travelling from abroad.“The atmosphere at this year’s Show across all the sectors represented was one of optimism,” said Geoff Dunning, Chief Executive of the RHA. “Based on last year’s Show, the forecast attendance for this year was between 12,000 and 15,000 so to have over 16,000 visitors is tremendous news. The UK road freight industry has always been an accurate barometer for the rest of the economy and these figures provide conclusive proof that the UK road freight sector really is on the road to recovery.”
