Citroën first in line for CV Show 2012

Citroën, which has attended every CV Show in its current format, is the first light commercial vehicle manufacturer to announce officially that it will be at next year’s Commercial Vehicle Show. It will use the event as a launch platform for key new developments in its LCV range. The announcement comes on the back of a busy 2011 for the French manufacturer. It launched its ‘Business Class’ dealer strategy back in February (see New Launch article) and has been rolling out Euro 5-compliant engines across its range ever since, accompanied by the introduction of an increased number of advanced EGS automated manual and traditional torque-converter auto transmissions. The addition of Stop & Start systems to key models enhances the fuel-saving and emissions-reducing benefits of its Euro 5 engines still further.
“The CV Show has been of great value to Citroën in its LCV marketing strategy,” said Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle operations manager. “With major developments in hand for virtually all models in our advanced LCV range, we expect the 2012 CV Show to be more important than ever. The comprehensive 2012 LCV development programme will result in a range of vehicles that will provide significantly improved operational benefits for our business customers. The 2012 CV Show will provide the ideal launch platform for Citroën’s latest, standard-setting commercial vehicles.”
