Commercial Vehicle Show debut for Hyundai

Korean van and car manufacturer Hyundai is to exhibit at the CV Show for the first time. It’s looking to raise the profile of its iLoad Van and Crew Van in front of dedicated LCV buyers as well as announcing an upgrade to its 2.5-litre CRDi diesel, taking it to Euro 5.Hyundai claims there’s an 8.4 per cent improvement in fuel consumption and a reduction of 10.4 per cent in CO2 output, taking it to a tad under 200g/km.
Alongside the standard three-seater and six-seater vans, there will also be a Police converted van courtesy of the Cambridgeshire Constabulary. Hyundai has recently become a preferred supplier to the UK Police Authority.
With an entry-level basic price (excl VAT) of £13,840 iLoad is part of Hyundai’s Trade & Upgrade scheme. This is similar to the government’s old ‘Scrappage’ initiative and in effect means that iLoad customers could save up to £2,300 by trading-in their old set of wheels.
