Dumfries Council bolsters fleet with Vauxhall vans

Vauxhall Van FleetEnterprising DG, the commercial arm of Dumfries and Galloway Council, has taken delivery of 17 new Vauxhall light commercial vehicles to support the work of the building and maintenance teams across the region. The newcomers include nine Combos, six Vivaros and two Movano dropsides.

They join the Vauxhall vehicles already being operated by DG to provide the council’s mainly rural residents and businesses with a range of services. These encompass in-road maintenance, commercial waste, building and construction, vehicle maintenance, cleaning and catering, as well as hospitality.

“Dumfries and Galloway is an extremely large rural region and the Vauxhall product and service have proved a great partner to the Council,” said Gordon Bryce, Transport and Operations manager, Enterprising DG. “These new vans will be welcomed by our Building Maintenance and Construction teams and we’d also like to thank supplying dealer James Haugh Dumfries for its continued support and mutually beneficial local supply.”
