Euro 5 crew van joins Dispatch line-up
Citroën has added a versatile six-seater crew van version of Dispatch to the new range of Euro 5 models. Originally introduced as part of the ‘Business Class’ programme at the beginning of 2011, Dispatch is transformed into a Crew Van by specialist company Snoeks of Holland, with the conversion carried out by CoTrim, its UK agent. It is fully approved by Citroën UK and comes with its full LCV two year/unlimited mileage or three year/100,000 mile whole vehicle warranty.Based on a 125hp 2.0HDi L2H1 1200 Dispatch, the £21,120 (on the road, incl VAT) Crew Van has a gross payload of 1,067kg — meaning that VAT can be reclaimed by registered businesses — it features a fully integrated moulded bulkhead behind the rear row of seats but to maximise load length items can extend under it and the rear seat squab. This gives a potential load floor length of 2,110mm. Fixed side windows, or optional sliding ones, are provided in the twin sliding side load doors. The bulkhead has a centrally mounted window, allowing full visibility should glazed rear doors be specified.
“The new Dispatch Crew Van meets operator requirements to further improve efficiency. Duty of care considerations and rising fuel prices are among the key reasons why businesses are increasingly specifying crew vans,” commented Scott Michael, Citroën’s commercial vehicle operations manager. “With its combination of 1,000kg-plus payload, six seats and a large load compartment, the Dispatch Crew Van meets most operator needs in this growing LCV market sector.”
