Fantastic-value Fiat Ducato Tecnico launched
Fiat Professional has introduced an option-laden version of the latest Euro 5 Ducato under the Tecnico banner and the on-the-road price (excl VAT) of £16,995 is a steal. Based on a 130hp 2.3-litre long-wheelbase, high roof (L3H2) 3.5-tonner, it adds a load of goodies normally confined to the options list to the package. To put it in context a top-spec Doblò Maxi 2.0-litre SX has a basic retail price of £16,595.In addition to the standard Ducato L3H2 specification — retail price (excl VAT), £25,145 — Tecnico spec adds manual air conditioning, front fog lights, Blue&Me with steering wheel controls, eco:Drive Professional telematics software, TomTom facia integration, TomTom Live navigator, a Start&Stop system, customised wheel trims and reverse parking sensors, the last of which should be mandatory on all LWB vans in our opinion. Ducato Tecnico is available in either Tiziano Red or White, and for an additional £100 can be specified in Metallic Aluminium Grey.
For a long-wheelbase, high roof van with this level of specification it’s a no-brainer, if this size of van corresponds with operational requirements. And take it from us, the engine is an absolute gem.
“In these times when customers are seeking-out extra value in their purchasing decisions, the new special series Ducato Tecnico provides customers with great value-for-money and with the perfect business van to meet their requirements,” said director of Fiat Professional UK, Sebastiano Fedrigo.
