Ford Transit dominates at ACFO Awards
Ford walked away with both the van trophies at this year’s Association of Car Fleet Operator Awards (ACFO) with Transit regaining its top spot in the Large Van category, having lost out to the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for the last two years. This takes its total of wins to 15 in the history of the awards. Its baby brother, the Connect, lifted the Small Van laurels for the ninth consecutive year.Commenting on the most recent of Transit’s long list of awards Kevin Griffin, Ford of Britain fleet director, said: “Winning two further awards for Transit and Transit Connect reinforces the choice and value we offer to commercial vehicle customers.”
Transit has just undergone a round of revisions which include a new line-up of Euro 5 diesels (see News Story) and Transit Connect is due for a major overhaul some time in 2012.
