Nissan NV350 gets Tokyo Motor Show debut
Nissan’s all-new NV350 small panel van will have its world debut at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show (3 – 11 December), but it’s not heading to the UK any time soon. Nissan UK will be sticking with its own version of Alliance partner Renault’s Trafic (also sold as the Vauxhall Vivaro) when the next generation models appear in 2013. Currently called Primastar it’s likely that Nissan will rebadge the new range as NV300 in Europe.Essentially a re-worked Toyota Hiace, NV350 is aimed at Asian markets and will be sold as both LCV and passenger variants; the former offers a three metre load length. Due to go on sale in summer 2012 it features keyless, push-button ignition, automatic transmission with dash-mounted gearstick and foot-operated handbrake, and pre-installed mounting nuts in the load area for racking systems.
