Nissan NV400 to make UK debut at CV Show
Originally unveiled at last year’s Hanover CV Show, Nissan’s replacement for the ageing Interstar, the NV400, will take pride of place on its stand at the UK’s Commercial Vehicle Show this April, according to a spokesperson.Based on a platform shared with Alliance partner Renault, which sells it as the Master, the NV400 has a heavily restyled and very distinctive front-end. Vauxhall also markets it as the Movano.
The work to differentiate NV400 from its close relatives was carried out at Nissan Design Europe in Paddington, London. The necessary re-engineering was undertaken at the Nissan Technical Centre Europe in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.NV400 goes on sale in the UK this summer and will be powered by the same 2.3-litre Euro 5 diesels as Master and Movano. It will be available as a front- or rear-wheel drive van and a range of chassis cabs and factory-fitted conversions will follow soon after the initial launch.
