Northgate celebrates landmark 30th birthday
Northgate Vehicle Hire (NVH), which runs a fleet of more than 60,000 vehicles, mostly vans, from 62 locations across the UK and Eire — as well as more than 45,000 in Spain — began business as Noble Hire in Darlington 30 years ago. In the interim, parent company Northgate Plc has also branched out into fleet management with Fleet Technique and owns used van and car outlets Van Monster and Trade Sales Direct.
At the heart of NVH’s rental business lies Norflex, its contract-free and fully flexible package. It comes with a range of additional benefits like telematics, provided through the company’s own Vehicle Monitoring service.
Aimed at everyone from the largest fleets to owner-operators, NVH can provide light commercials on short- or long-term rental and everything inbetween.
Northgate has some illustrious automotive company in the anniversary stakes this year. The iconic E-Type Jaguar was launched in 1961 and Rolls Royce first introduced its Spirit of Ecstasy mascot in 1911.
