Pioneer Project-X Vito pumps up the volume
Take a Mercedes-Benz Vito 122CDI Sport-X Dualiner, raid the Brabus parts bin, install 30,050 watts of Pioneer kit and the end result is the amazing Project-X, the ultimate DJ van.Costing close to £25,000 the Pioneer world record-holding Sound Pressure Level in-car entertainment products include two 15in competition class SPL subs and four 10in Champion Series subs to ensure a clear, powerful and wide-ranging bass response. The installation also comes complete with two Pioneer CDJs and a state-of-the-art mixer; combined they offer the perfect party set-up. Developed jointly by Mercedes-Benz UK and Pioneer GB the special edition Project-X Vito is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel capable of producing 224hp and developing 440Nm of peak torque. Additional Brabus parts include 20in alloy wheels, sports exhaust, lowering springs, chrome sidebars, sports steering wheel and chrome grille and tailgate trim.“Project-X not only sounds awesome, but it looks amazing too,” said Steve Bridge, van sales and marketing director for Mercedes-Benz UK. “The sheer power from this van, both from the engine and the sound system, is epic and needs to be seen to be believed.
