Stylish limited edition Caravelle unveiled
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced the availability of the Edition 25 Caravelle, but just 225 high specification people-shifters are up for grabs in the UK. They come with an exclusive Candy White paint-job as standard, or there’s an optional Reflex Silver metallic option. Unique styling details include a revised front bumper with contrasting satin black accents in the lower sections, xenon headlights with LED running lights as well as black highlights the length of the vehicle and on the roof, side sills and tailgate. Satin black 18in ‘Edition 25’ alloy wheels complete the picture.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre BiTDI diesel which produces 180hp and drives the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG twin-clutch semi-auto gearbox as standard. VW’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system can be specified as an option.
Based on the SE specification, the Caravelle Edition 25 adds three-zone Climatronic air conditioning which allows the driver and rear passengers to control the temperature independently, voice-activated satellite navigation and Bluetooth phone compatibility and parking sensors with reversing camera, along with VW’s Lane Change Assist system which monitors blind spots.It can carry up to six passengers, with the second row of seats able to swivel and face the rear to create a lounge-like environment. Access to the rear passenger compartment is made easy thanks to twin electric sliding doors with power-latching.
VansA2Z wants one, but unfortunately the contents of our piggy bank falls well short of the £44,995 (on-the-road and including VAT) asking price.
