Transporter gets X appeal
Despite a revised version of the T5 Transporter arriving in the UK at the start of next year Volkswagen has introduced special edition versions of the current Sportline models.
Dubbed Sportline X there will be 150 produced as short- and long-wheelbase vans as well as a short-wheelbase Kombi.
Each will be individually numbered with the owner receiving a certificate and there is a choice of two metallic paint colours; silver and blue.
Costing £500 more than the equivalent 174hp Sportline T30 the X models stand out with the addition of black and chrome alloy wheels, specially designed black and blue leather seats, leather-trimmed steering wheel, rear parking sensors and tailored Sportline floor mats.
