Vauxhall extends van swappage scheme
Special discounts for owners of light commercial vehicles older than seven years that fall foul of London's revised Low Emission Zone levels which come into effect on 3 January 2012 have been extended to the end of March. All LCVs registered as new before 1 January 2002 will have to comply with the new LEZ regulations or face daily fines to drive in London. The swappage scheme is being operated by all 35 retailers in the Vauxhall London Retail Group network and extends across almost the entire LCV range, including Movano chassis cabs and nine-seater Vivaro Combi. There’s a saving of £3,000 off a new Corsavan when trading-in an old van, while operators with large panel van requirements can get £7,500 off the list price of a new Movano.
“Vauxhall’s outstanding commercial vehicle model range offers owner/operator and large fleet operations alike the durability, back-up and low whole-life costs they need,” said Richard Collier, Vauxhall's national commercial vehicles sales manager. “With this exceptional offer, Vauxhall is once again supporting its customers with a compelling, value-for-money package to meet their day-to-day needs in a tough economic environment. Vauxhall was the first manufacturer to offer eco-models across its commercial vehicle range and these too are part of our attractive swappage scheme.”
